Thank you all for being so patient with me as I write the conclusion to the Ichor Series. I know it is a little later than originally expected, so in honor of your patience I wanted to bestow you a little gift. Here is the first three (unedited) paragraphs of the book to satiate you :)

The Prologue: Hecate

The Day the Underworld Died

Many of the dead run when confronted with the reality that they chose a losing side. They claw through the Underworld’s broken ceiling by climbing on the backs of their fallen friends, hoping to clamber their way back to the real world. Debris falls like cataclysmic raindrops upon the once-again living souls of the Underworld, who do not realize that their afterlife ceases to exist.

As my rage grows, so does my magic.

It festers, spreading and destroying everything in its waking path. I crumble the Fields of Punishment until the former heroes of ancient times are dead once again, but their souls do not have a place to go. There is no longer an Underworld to carry the souls towards. The gates are ripped apart. The ceiling gone. So, when my magic steals the lives of Odysseus, Theseus, Oedipus, and so many others, their souls glow like white orbs out of their chests, and they beckon to my command.
